Casio X Rolex Watch

This is one of my favorite quick and easy but functional projects. You can make an awesome custom watch for yourself or as a gift.

Instructions (I recommend just watching the video below but here is the step by step)

1. You need a Casio Watch, either THIS ONE or THIS ONE work. I have tested both.
2. Download the watch files from the link below.
3. Print the one of the ones I have already made or use the blank one to design or sculpt your own.  I recommend resin printing but FDM will also work. Both prints may require a little bit of clean up.
4. Remove the watch face from the Casio watch by releasing the pins in the watch straps, then remove the internals by unscrewing the 4 screws on the back of the watch face.
5. Use heat to remove the glued part of the casio watch face. You will have to press this out, once its hot. be careful not to overheat it through or apply direct heat to the transparent part of you can damage it.
6. Put all the components into the 3D printed watch face and assemble.

Background
I have an unbelievable appreciation for the craftsmanship that goes into some of the high end watches. Living in NYC I've connected with a few people who work in the industry and though I respect the business model and quality... I do find it nearly comical that someone would spend up to hundreds of thousands of dollars on a watch. Some watches can actually be good investments as they appreciate over time... which makes sense to me but that's about it.
